El disco está compuesto de 22 canciones (11 canciones y 11 interludios narrados o instrumentales) y salió a la venta en 1998. Nightfall in Middle-Earth es un disco conceptual exclusivamente basado en la novela El Silmarillion de J. R. R. Tolkien.
